USPS price increases & elimination of Regional Rate Boxes

This announcement is a bummer on o a couple of fronts; the annual price increases and the end of Regional Rate Boxes.

The rationale from USPS was that the rate of the Regional Boxes is in line with Priority cubic pricing, so it was redundant. We recommend using a smaller brown box (12 x 12 x 6) or a similar size box, which will still save you money over the Flat Rate Boxes if your package is under 20 pounds.

We hope to find a box partner to offer a comparable box because we offer cubic pricing. More to come on that in the future. 12 x 12 x 6 boxes can be found at U-Haul, Uline, and online at Amazon.

As far as price increases go, here is what you can expect.

Priority mail prices will increase by approximately 5.5%, Priority Mail Express by 6.6%, and First Class by 7.8% per the November price announcement.

There will not be price increases for Parcel Select Ground Services.
