What happens if my recipient’s address is incorrect and the package has already been scanned by the carrier?

USPS® typically returns the package to you with a note stating that the address is insufficient. Other major carriers will attempt to determine the correct address and, if possible, return the package rather than send it back. A surcharge for an address correction will be billed to your card on file. The charge varies by carrier but is typically under $20. Returned packages are not refundable.
