Shipthrifty.com (“Shipthrifty,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a shipping and technology company providing shipping convenience through software services, mobile applications, websites, mobile convenience services, and partnerships with local brick-and-mortar printing locations and transportation providers.

This Privacy Policy explains how Shipthrifty collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Shipthrifty’s products, software, websites, mobile apps, mobile convenience services, local printing locations, storefronts, and partnership programs (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Registration and User Types

Users of Shipthrifty Services fall into the following categories:

Guest Users

  • Provide shipping details (ship-from and ship-to addresses, email, and phone number) required by carriers.
  • Submit payment for shipments or services.
  • May create an account by setting a password to store information for future use. Once an account is created, the Guest User becomes a Registered User.

Registered Users

  • Provide required shipping details and, where applicable, organization information (including EIN for software, website, mobile convenience, storefront, or printing location services).
  • Submit payment for shipments or service purchases.
  • Access stored shipping information and pre-populated forms using a registered email and password.
  • View and manage information associated with their account.

Strategic Business Partner Users

(Including Transportation Partners and Local Brick-and-Mortar Printing Locations)

  • Transportation Partners: Independent drivers or fleet operators providing pickup or delivery services through Shipthrifty. Must provide administrator information, vehicle details, contact information, and payment/ACH details.
  • Local Brick-and-Mortar Printing Locations: Retail or service locations that provide label printing or package drop-off services using Shipthrifty technology. Must provide administrator contact information, business details, and payment/ACH information.
  • May generate shipping buttons, URLs, storefronts, or service access points.
  • Administrators create login credentials to access account, business, and operational information.
  • Business information may include business name, EIN, address, website(s), email, and ACH or other payment details for revenue distribution.

2. Information We Collect

Required Information for Shipping and Printing Services

  • Ship-from and ship-to names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.
  • Information necessary to generate shipping labels or process drop-offs.
  • Payment information, including credit/debit card or ACH details (processed by third-party providers).

Business Information (Registered Users and Partners)

  • Organization name, EIN, address, administrator name, and contact information.
  • Information required to provide software access, mobile convenience services, printing services, storefronts, or partner operations.

Other Information

  • Information provided when contacting Shipthrifty (customer service inquiries or support requests).
  • Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, including IP address, device type, browser type, pages viewed, clicks, approximate geographic location, and usage data.
  • Operational and system data such as transaction records, access logs, error reports, and fraud-prevention signals.

Use of Information

Shipthrifty uses information to:

  • Process shipments, label printing, drop-offs, and payments.
  • Provide and operate software, mobile apps, mobile convenience services, local printing services, and partner programs.

3. Payment Information

  • Shipthrifty uses Stripe for credit and debit card processing and Plaid for ACH transfers.
  • Payment details are processed and stored securely by these providers; Shipthrifty does not store full card numbers.
  • You agree to provide accurate payment information and consent to its collection and use for transaction processing.

4. Use and Sharing of Information

Personal and business information may be shared:

  • With carriers to process shipments.
  • With third-party service providers performing services on Shipthrifty’s behalf (such as payment processing, analytics, hosting, email delivery, and customer support).
  • With customers or end users if you operate a storefront, mobile convenience service, or branded printing location through Shipthrifty.
  • With transportation partners or local brick-and-mortar printing locations as necessary to fulfill Services.
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to enforce agreements or protect rights.

Shipthrifty does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.

Partner and Marketplace Notice

Transportation partners, local brick-and-mortar printing locations, storefront operators, and other partners are independent entities. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies and agreements. Shipthrifty is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent partners beyond data shared as necessary to provide Services.

Visibility of Shipping Information

  • Shipping labels include ship-from and ship-to information and may be visible to carriers, printing locations, transportation partners, and others handling packages.
  • Users may email or share shipping labels with recipients at their discretion.

  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal, contractual, and operational requirements.
