Preflight your address to check the City (APO/FPO/DPO), State (AE, AP, AA), and zip codes with the click of a button to make sure they match against the USPS database, Google, a third-party addressing tool, and our system to detected errors. If we find a discrepancy, a red question mark appears on the right side of that label order. When you click it, a popup displays to identify the error and suggest a correction when you accept the change, the entry updates on the label you are building, and your address book. Military Restricted Items for each zip code is accessible inline with the label so you can double-check the items the military won’t allow. Sometimes things like coffee and over-the-counter meds are not allowed.

This feature is exclusive to Shipthrifty and helps the groups who send care packages. We call it the Universal Care Package Request Form, which eliminates emailing and texting service member addresses. The form is secure and can be custom-branded for nonprofit organizations. When you share your secure link with your group, others, or post it on your website, a service member’s address can be added to your organization address book automatically. Service members can also complete the form to request packages. The tool helps reduce costly returned packages because it performs an address precheck against the USPS database, Google, a third-party addressing tool, and our system to detect errors. The submitter can fix errors before submitting the form, and the organization gets an email copy of the form as well.
